Description
Not all hubs are 100% standard. Compensating disks are included so that there is not so much underlay on the brake caliper because the brake disk is too far inside. Companies such as Riese & Müller and Schindelhauer Bikes use these shims on their bikes.
They are mounted between the hub and the brake disc and enable the disc to be centered exactly between the brake pads. In addition, annoying grinding noises are a thing of the past when using several impellers.
