Significant increase in effective heat-absorbing area (30% more than a brake disc of comparable standard)
Less wear of the brake pads due to the many small holes
Compatible with brake systems offering a matching swept friction area
Heat-treated finish of the brake discs increases service life and reduces wear
Use with organic/semi-organic brake pads

  Compatibility

AVID / SRAM
Formula
Magura (Julie, Louise)
Shimano
Tektro
Trickstuff

Opinion of the Watzmann Tour Bike Guide: “Disc is very good, makes no noise and is cool after about 750 metres of vertical descent. The discs on all the other bikes are too hot to touch.”
Update 1 // 09/06/2018 - The latest from the Watzmann Tour Bike Guide: "I had another look at the brake pads on the e-bike today. After almost 11,000 of elevation gain, they’re still looking really good. I’ll be interested to see how much further I can go on them.”
Brake pads used: Shimano Organic G02A
Update 2 // 29/06/2018 - The latest from the Watzmann Tour Bike Guide: “Hello, here is a brief interim report after 20,500 metres of elevation gain and several rainy days. The same brake pads are still on... I’m really impressed so far. But now we’re using the Bio Bike for the first time... I’m curious to see how much elevation gain we can get out of the pads before they are totally worn...”
Update 3 // 09/08/2018 - The latest Information from the Watzmann Tour Bike Guide: I'm currently at 29,600 m (of which about 8,000 m when it rains) and there is still something going on. My reference value with the Shimano Icetec discs was 18500 Hm ... Without words ... To be continued ...
Here is a recent report on our new brake disc that was published by emtb-news.de

We have been specialized in custom made brake disc rotors. For example we design and manufacture them with a logo, a link or a name with the required dimensions and strength. For example we work together with known names in the bicycle industry such as Electrolyte E-Bikes and Specialized. Prototypes of brake disc rotors are tested on braking power, braking stability, braking wear etc. This goes so far that we support the entire development to series production. We are very proud for this job, because only a handful of companies worldwide are able to do this. Are you looking for a special brake disc rotor with a name, a logo or a link? Maybe you want to make advertising for your bike shop, showing a special bike at a bike fair or just riding your bike hard and wat to brake late? Don't look any further! At BrakeSTUFF we can fullfill your wish and make your custom disc rotor. Through the combination of material and heat treatment our disc rotors are very powerfull and stiff. Simply contact us and convince yourself! Here you can find a photo gallery of our previously manufactured custom made disc rotors.

The Formula SAE, better known as Formula Student is an international design competition to build a prototype race car with students. In events as Silverstone, Hockenheim or Michigan more than 500 teams from around the world are competing. In the end not the team with the fastest car wins, but the team which can provide the best allround results, consisting of performance, design and efficiency. The task is the same for all teams, to develop a race car for the weekend-racer. Involved are students from diverse fields such as mechanical engineering, mechatronics and electrical engineering as well as industrial engineering, business administration or Media with industry and business contacts. The project provides the opportunity to put the theory from the study in practice, as well as a first technical experience and increasing social skills. BrakeSTUFF is supporting the team of Racing FaSTDa of the University of Darmstadt since 2014 with the development and production of brake discs for their racecar. We will continue to support them with the upcoming 2017 season. Click here for the Official Websites of the Formula SAE: http://www.fsaeonline.com/ https://www.formulastudent.de/
